Hoadadi means “for us all” in the local Damara language. You can see this spirit in Usakos through our operations and social engagement within the community. Each tour that we offer aims to work as closely as possible with previously disadvantaged community groups. The involvement of the local communities has proven to have long-lasting effects of economic and social empowerment. For this purpose, a percentage of our income will always go to one of the community projects that we run or collaborate with.

About us

Bassi & Veronika Nakanuku

...husband and wife, have extensive experience in the tourism and cultural sector between them.

Bassi was born in Usakos and has been operating tours and community programmes for almost 20 years. He has guided tours all over the country and across its borders. He has brought Hoadadi back home, to operate from Usakos so as to support the local communities and encourage organic economic growth.

Veronika is from close to the Black Forest in Germany. She is a qualified Art Therapist, who uses her skills in fostering creative expression to assist healing and mental well-being to uplift and shape a new space for local communities and the people you choose to visit. Before moving to Namibia, Veronika ran her own successful project, Ukubona, in Cape Town, South Africa.
